U.S. measles outbreak grows with 60 new measles cases across 26 states

CDC reported Monday that there were 60 new cases of measles in the past week, bringing the total number of confirmed cases for this year to 940. The outbreak has now reached 26 states. Public health officials have cited the resurgence on misinformation about vaccines, as a vocal minority of parents oppose vaccines, believing them to cause autism, contrary to scientific studies.
